Girls have once again outshone boys in the SSC results which were declared here today. The total result is 67.50 percent and 2628 more students have got A-1 grade. This year result is 0.74 percent less than last year but the number of students getting A1 grade has increased from 3750 to 6378.
Giving details of the result secretary of Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board said that Surat district got the highest result of 80.06 percent while Dahod district had the lowest result of 37.35 percent. The number of schools getting 100 percent result has decreased from 451 to 368.
As has been happening in last few years English medium students scored well than Gujarati and Hindi medium. The result of English medium is 90.12 while that of Gujarati is 65.16 and of Hindi medium is 72.30 percent.
As many as 9874 students have failed in one subject while 27,708 students failed in two subjects. Students scored well in language papers while in scoring subject like Maths the result is only 68.26 percent. In English language the result is 95.62 percent, in Gujarati- 84.75 and Hindi is 88.1 percent.
For re assessment students will have to apply online. The students will have to visit the website www.gseb.org for filling the form. Supplementary exams for students failing in oen or two subjects will be held from 6th to 9th July.
