Changes in exam pattern in Gujarat from 2019

The Gujarat government has announced changes in examination pattern of class 9th to 12th from next academic year. Minimum passing percentage would be 33 percent.

State education minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasma said that the Gujarat secondary and higher secondary education board has adopted NCERT syllabus. Accordingly, changes would be made. This will help students perform better in exams like JEE and NEET.

As per the new system which will come in effect from 2019-20 the first and second exams will be of 50 marks each and the final exam will be of 80 marks. Internal exam would be of 20 marks. The marks would be total 200 and accordingly results would be declared.
