This year class 12th science result is 71.90 percent which is lowest in 7 years. Like previous years this year also girls have scored better with 72.01 percent result as compared to 71.83 percent of boys.
The number of schools having result of less than 10 percent is 49 which is much higher than 26 of last year. While number of schools getting 100 percent result has decreased to 35 from last year’s 42.
This year English medium students have fared better than Gujarati ones. The result of English medium is 75.13 percent and that of Gujarati is 71.09%. The result of A group students is 78.92 percent and of B group is 67.26 percent.
Like last year Dhrol centre recorded highest pass percentage of 91.60%. Last year the result was 95.65 %. Bodeli centre recorded lowest pass percentage of 27.19%. Last year it had 27.61 percent. Rajkot district topped with 84.47%.Last year the result was 85.03 percent. Chhota Udepur district has the lowest result of 29.81 percent. Last year it was 35.64 percent.
As many as 1,23,860 students appeared for the exams which were held at 139 centres across the state. Cases of irregularities have also increased this year to 365 from 120 of last year.
