Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad has worked out a three pronged strategy to make it a premier global institute of management that educates leaders of enterprises.
Acknowledging that the future holds tremendous promise for the Institute, Prof. Ashish Nanda, Director, IIMA, said the vision at the Institute is to educate leaders of enterprises, who make a difference to their organizations and to the world around them.
Interacting with media, he expressed that, in the Institute’s endeavor, to move forward, it draws upon reserves of goodwill among the diaspora of its alumni, its reputation among recruiters and potential students, and the commitment of the faculty and staff of the Institute. “To realize our vision, the Institute is following a three-pronged approach: Connect, Nurture, and Grow,” he said.
Giving details of Alumni programmes Prof. Ashish Nanda said that more than dozen Alumni meets have been organized in IIM Ahmedabad and outside globally since last year when a alumni focused plan was started.
“The Institute aims to connect proactively with the worlds of practice and policy, with academic work nationally and globally, with our alumni, and with the local community. We wish to nurture a high performance work environment by emphasizing and supporting a climate of autonomy, stretch, and team work.
We aim to grow, but in a thoughtful and strategic manner, so as to have an impact commensurate with our ambitions, while ensuring that we maintain and upgrade the quality of our people and our experience.”
“These three strategic priorities – connect, nurture, and grow – therefore, are at the core of our effort to be a premier global institute of management that educates leaders of enterprises.”
