To bridge the gap between Levua and Kadva Patidars a “Lav-Khush”sammelan has been organised in the city on Sunday. Eminent personalities of various fields will be felicitated in this Patidar meet. Patidars are a strong community in the state.
The theme of the meet is “Bhavatmak sammelan” which signifies that both the wings of Patidars will come together emotionally and bridge differences , said Bhikubhai Patel, president of Patidar Pariwar Trust. He said that eight people including Karsanbhai Patel, Pankaj Patel, Manibhai Patel, Vitthalbhai Patel, Gunvant Shah, Dr. Tejas Patel and Manubhai Patel will be felicitated for their contribution in their fields.
Chief Minister Vijay Rupani will inaugurate the meet which will be attended by deputy CM and leader of opposition Paresh Dhanani. The meet is only social and totally non-political, Patidar leader and senior BJP member Narhari Amin said. He said that around 25,000 Patidars from the state are expected in the meet which is organised every five years.
He said that trust organises various programmes like free coaching to students, assistance to widows, matrimony and others.
