Gujarat has seen a record turnout of voters for the Lok Sabha elections, polling for which was held on Tuesday. As per the final data the polling percentage was recorded at 64.11 percent which is higher than last Lok Sabha elections.
Valsad constituency had highest voting of 75.21 % followed by Bardoli at 73.57 and Chhota Udepur at 73.44 %. The lowest polling percentage of 55.75 percent was recorded in Amreli followed by Porbander with 56.79 percent votes.
In Ahmedabad (East) the polling percentage was 61.32 while in Ahmedabad (West) it was 60.37 percent. In Gandhinagar where BJP party chief Amit Shah contested the voting percentage remained at 65.57 percent.
