Ahmedabad is all set to create a world record on this Yoga Day, June 21, 2017 as Baba Ramdev run Patanjali Yog Samiti and Gujarat government will have five lakh people performing yoga on that day.
Announcing this, Baba Ramdev said that he would be present in Ahmedabad from June 17 to personally conduct the record making event. He said that last year there was a record participation of one lakh people on Yoga day programme in Faridabad.
He said that yoga and good health should be given top priority while other tasks would result in fringe benefits. He said that Yoga was a solution to all problems of society right from physical diseases to evils like corruption.
Though Yoga Day is held on June 21, the event will not be a one day affair. To mobilize people for the celebrations preperations had already begun and there will be daily programmes on June 18, 19 and 20. To make it an even touching all parts of the society, he said, special efforts are being made to involve Muslims and Christians. A task force of 2000 volunteers has been made for this.
He said that around 5,000 regular yoga classes will be held before June 21 event to make it a grand success.
