Good news for Indian travellers going to Thailand. They will not have to pay visa fees. To boost tourism Thailand government has waived off fee for visa on arrival for 21 countries including India.
The tourists from these countries will get exemption for two months starting December 2018. The 2,000 baht fee for visa on arrival scheme will be waived off for people staying for upto only 15 days.
Tourists from these countries are entitled to apply for VoA at 48 designated immigration check points. This move is expected to increase foreign arrivals to more than 40 millions. Tourism revenue accounts for 20 percent of the country’s GDP.
The country has exotic beaches and beautiful natural surroundings and landscapes which are a treat to eyes. For past few years the number of tourists has been increasing.
