Visitors entry to Polo forests banned

Looking to the unprecedented rush of visitors during Corona times Sabarkantha district administration has decided to ban entry of visitors to Polo forest in North Gujarat during all weekends in current month of October. According to locals more than 25,000 visitors visited Polo forest last weekend.

A notification in this regard has been issued by district collector office. It says that Covid norms like wearing masks, social distancing are not being maintained and to avoid rise on cases it has been decided to ban entry of visitors.

Local Congress MLA Ashwin Kotwal had on last Sunday blocked a road to Polo forest with his supporters demanding that visitors from outside should be disallowed as they can spread Covid-19 infection in local tribal people during their visit to Polo forest.
